Network Location Cannot Be Reached

Well, despite two posts to two different newsgroups, I was never able to
get Windows 2000 server installed at work. Sorry if I somehow insulted
everyone inadvertantly.

So here I go again.... I'm now trying to get Server installed at home.

I tried several times (installing to a single PC on an Ethernet
peer-to-peer network) and each time, got an error saying that my PC could
not be made a domain controller because there was already one on the
network.

I did a Google search and finally found a suggestion from someone to unplug
the PC from my wireless hub, which was acting as the DNS server on the
network. Now, however, when I try to install Windows 2000 server and set up
the network, I get the following error:

Active Directory Installation Failed
The operation failed with the following error:
The network location cannot be reached.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a lot.

When installing a server, make sure that the networkadapter is connected to
a hub or something.
