Network improvement after installing components

Hi

Was messing about with the windows xp pro cd and installed quite a few
network components, my home network is working better now, i just don't know
which components made the improvement... any ideas?

If you post a full list of each and every component you
installed then someone might be able to answer your
question. Without this list it's pure guesswork.

If you want to improve the operation of your PC then
it's best not to "mess about" (your words) but to perform
a number of tightly controlled and fully documented tests.

How can we possible know? We have no idea what you did.

Besides, this question would probably be bettter addressed in a
networking group.
