Hi, I'm a new Vista user and have a question I have been unable to find an
answer to and hope someone here can help me out.

In XP, I used to hover over the Network icon in the notification area and it
would tell me the data I had transferred up and down for the session. Now in
Vista, if I hover it only tells me the name of the network I am connected
to. I have looked for a check box somewhere but so far have found nothing.
This is quite important to me as here in South Africa, we get a small cap
(3gb) a month up and down, and I like to keep a track of my activity.

Any pointers gratefully accepted. TIA.

Excellent, thanks Andre. I take it I have to look here every time I want to
check, I don't suppose there is a way to have a quick hover over the icon
like in XP?

Do you know of any program or plug in that monitors data transfer by any
chance? I looked through the gadgets at the Live site but didn't see
anything. Cheers again.

It has helped me a few times to discover that a trojan was spewing out tons
of information from clients computers. Then the hunt was on.
