Network FileShare Problems

I am adding a new notebook running XP to an existing Home Network. The other
two computers are running Win98. I can view and access files on the XP
computer from either Win98 unit, but when attempting to access files on
either of the Win98's from the XP unit I am prompted for a username and
password. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Are you running Share Level or User Level access on the Windows 98 computers?
Read more about Windows 98 in the white paper linked from my article:

Thanks Chuck!
As the family "computer expert" I find myself lacking in many areas, but
knowing just enough to get into trouble. It's comforting to know that there
are people like yourself out there who can help when I get in deeper than I
had intended. You help is greatly appreciated.
