Is there any way of surpressing network connection error
messages on boot?

Example I have setup a server which if rebooted attempts
to map some drives from other machines that are not always
switched on. If a network error message appears at boot
the pc does not get to the desktop (and load a number of
applications I require running) without user input eg.
clicking on yes to continue or "do not restore further
connections"?

i believe your referring "at boot" to after an username and pwd pair are
entered and OK is clicked??? if so, what you'll want to do is click the
options that let you get tothe desktop, open Explorer, and select the drives
(one by one), right-click and choose Disconnect, after they're all
disconnected, reboot the server and the last state is remembered with no
drives trying to be found...
