Network drives not showing

When I try and open a document by going to the "open" folder icon and then
pulling down the network drop down item Word stops for about 2 mins before
showing the network drives. There is nothing wrong with the network... any
advice would be great.

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop, left-click
