Network Disappearing act!!

I have 2 computers on a small network both running new
installs of XP home and sp1 I had the network running
perfectly then I ran windows update (bad move)
I can no longer acsess my network.
Does anyone know what update it was that is causeing this
and how to fix it?
I have the computers connected through a linksys router
and again it worked fine until I installed all windows
updates.

Shut down the PCs and power cycle (not reset) the router, bring
everything back up. Does the problem persist?
