network dilema

I would greatly appreciate any assistance !

I am trying to setup a wireless network. PC1 is connected to a wireless router ( linksys) and PC2 is connected by a wireles
ethernet card. The windows and norton firewalls have been disabled.

Now the dilema

When I go to my NETWORK PLACES ~ I can see a folder labeled SHARED DOCS with the name I had given it. However
when I go to the internet explorer - MY NETWORK PLACES - ENTIRE NETWORK - MICROSOFT WINDOWS NETWORK, I
see a workgroup labeled MSHOME - the folder is empty

Also, on PC1 I had added files in the shared folder. These folder are not apparent when I browse from the other PC

I suspect that on the remote PC I am only viewing the shared folders on the respective machine

** I did configure all shared folders as "SHARED

Any advise is surely appreciated

Regard

Both pc1 and pc2 need to be in the same workgroup. MSHOME is the Windows XP default workgroup. You can change the name(s) of the workgroups on both computers to match whatever name you choose to give your workgroup.

First, enable yr Norton firewall then run the network wizard. Then scan yr
pc's for viri, as disabling the firewall will have left you open to attack.
