Network connections with USB-why not?

Trying to hook up two PC's to transfer some files. The only options available
in the network connection wizard are Wan Miniport, LPT1 and COM1. I can't USB
to USB with a crossover cable? Is there a work around for this? Also there is
no choice of ethernet/ethernet. Seems strange. I checked out the knowledge
base...it just directs me to standard network connections.
Thanks

You must allow the USB drives to be shared. Right-click them
in My Computer, then click "Sharing".

If you intend to hook up two PCs to TRANSFER DATA, then you can use a
USB-to-USB cable for the same. This cable comes with a software. Install this
in both the desired systems and the connection ready to transfer data.

This would help you just to transfer data. If you planning for some other
purpose then I suggest you to use network cards.
