network connection problem

Hello,

I have an application as custom shell that I can have a look at the IP
address given by the DHCP. The DHCP gives me an valid address on my network,
but I cannot ping the XPE with this address.

I am using SP2 that I just installed. I was using SP1 before with no
problem. Is there a component or a setting that I am missing that could give
me this problem.

I think Windows Firewall blocks ICMP (ping) traffic by default. Do you have
the firewall component in your new image? It wouldn't have been there in SP1
so that could be the difference.
