Network Connection Always Got Altered

I am using Windows/XP and connects to the Internet using
a dial-up modem (which is configured to my ISP).
I am very frustrated lately as my Internet Connection
(via dial up) always gets altered to another number
(0088213885226) whenever I log off from my dial up to the
Internet. This causes me to keep on deleting
this 'altered' connection and create a New Connection
everytime I need to log onto Internet.
Any help to get rid of this 'bugger' would be most
appreciated.

This sounds kind of like a virus to me, have you done a scan?
