I am trying to create a network boot floppy so that I can access resources on
Windows Server 2003.

The floppy disk has been created with Symantec Ghost, I can successfuly boot
the PC with the disk and it detects the NIC. The problem is when I try to map
a network drive I always get the "Access Denied" error message.

Can anyone help on how to get around this??

Try providing credentials with the mapping, eg:

net use x: \\ServerName\Share /user:DomainName\UserName password

Unfortunately that still does not solve the problem.

I read somewhere that Server 2003 handles logins differently through a LAN
Manager session.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?
If so any tips and where should I look next.
