Network boot disk for unattended setup

Jesper Nielsen

We have an old NT + applications unattended install script, which I want to
use for making unattended install for XP Professional + applications on HP
d530's.

I has been working on finding the right drivers for the network boot disk,
but has in great vain been browsing the internet for netbind.exe / Lan
Manager 2.2 and netbeui.dos. Where do I get these?

Secondly I get the idea, that making network disks that copies install files
to the computers that boot and then starts installing might be a little old
fashioned.

As imaging or ghosting is not an option (leadership decission), what is your
actual best advice to do the uattended install?

Thanks

Jesper

I use Bart's modboot network disk to connect to a distribution share
then run a batch file there that does an unattended install. I'm sure
using GUIRunOnce and cmdlines.txt you could install anything you
needed during the install.

Bart's stuff is really modular and flexible. Great stuff.
