Network biometric login validation

I want to validate the login (session start) to any PC over a LAN using a
biometric database on a SQL Server. It is possible without saving every
account on each one of the PC's attached to the LAN?

Huh? you want to use fingerprints, voiceprints, retina scans or
something to grant or refuse access to the PC or network? doesn't
that involve some expensive HW at the server level as well as on
every PC?
