Network Adapter error ..

i have installed win2000 advanced server together with
win98se. in win98se, all the devices worked, and no
problem with network setup. i can even surf the internet.
but in using the win2000 advanced server, the network
adapter was not recognized thus i cannot configure my
network. installing and uninstalling the network adapter
driver, resetting and rebooting my pc proved nothing. What
could be the main problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
