network access

There's a Win2000 Professional PC on the network. No one
can access its resources because everytime someone clicks
on its icon in the network neighborhood, it pops up a
logon screen with "User name" and "password" fields. I
tried to use every user name and password, including
administrator's password. Alas, no access.

Tom,
Have you created user names and passwords that match what
you are using to logon the the station trying to access
the W2k box? Check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article 258717 it might be of some help.
