NETWOR SETUP

hi folks. my problem is really very simple - here:
I have 2 pc's both running winXP pro sp1, both have a network cable.
sorry can't give you more specs, but i think it won't be necessary. I
simply can't set up a funtional home network with these 2 pc's. maybe
some hardware missing?. help?

There is no way for you to get a specific answer since you provided too
little information. For instance, you haven't told us how you are
getting to the Internet (cable, dsl, dialup?), how your network is
physically set up (router, peer-to-peer?), or what you've already done.
