I used Netscape communicator 7 but now have to use Outlook
as mail program. Does anyone know what to do to get my
mail from Netscape into Outlook 2002?

You need to use a third-party software such as either Netscape 4.x or
Eudora. Install either, and copy the mail files (the ones WITHOUT the
extension) into the mail folder of the new installation. Open the program,
and open each file. This will build the index files. You can then do the
import in Outlook. The address book, you need to export as either CSV or
LDIF format.

There is a better way: It's silly but it works..

Outlook express will import all the messages and addressbook just fine,,,
use that first,,, create a dummy OE account, iport all your netscape stuff
into that... then when finished, open Outlook (close OE) and import you
Outlok Express messages and addressbook into Outlook.

NOTE: sometimes OE won't import the Netscape Adress Bokk, in this case just
export the Address book from Netscape to an LDIF format, then impor tinto OE
from the LDIF file. all done...

Here is a great resource also: http://www.interguru.com

hope that helps.. have fun.

Steve.

WRONG. The OP wants to import from Netscape 7. There is NO IMPORT FOR
NETSCAPE 7 IN OE.

Read the posts.

hello,

the trick to getting netscape 7 info into outlook express is to get the
netscape 7 info into netscape 4.x first.
install 4.x in a different netscape directory and copy the files from 7 into
the folders under 4.x
if you get stuck, people on the netscape forum can help.
outlook express can import netscape 4.x.
