netscape browser

Well I guess Jerry's answer wasn't very helpful...

Hey 'enigma', I am having the same problems too..but mine started after I downloaded and installed some adware/spyware blocking software..and my windows xp firewall is on med to high on both security and privacy (internet settings)...I think the problem is in where the downloaded Netscape Navigator files are from.
Sometimes the fact that there are the ever-so-intrusive AOL files attached to the download it jacks up the ability to open the file.
At least it is with mine...
I still can't get a damn 'Comet Cursor' (spyware) file off my drive...I did it once...I found it by using the free version of 'Aluria's Spyware Scanner/Eliminator' program..

Try using Internet Explorer (latest version) and see if you can't find a better place to download another version of Netscape.

Otherwise, maybe you need to check your registries, etc..to make sure all the files are there..or delete all the ones attached to Netscape and start all over with a fresh download. Sometimes if you don't download the full (versus custom) version of Netscape it doesn't work right..

If all else fails..you might have some luck contacting someone online at Netscape, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one...

Good luck, let me know if you managed to fix your problem...I am still working on mine..but then again, I have been using Internet Explorer mostly because of it's better functionality.
