Netscape Navigator

R

Ryan Womack

I was working on AOL on Thursday, May 20, 2004. However,
I was using the Netscape Navigator browser through the AOL
service. Netscape closed its browser window, but AOL was
still connected and on-line. I re-opened Netscape and
checked my bookmarks and many of them had dissappeared.
How can I get them back? (apparently somehow the computer
just removed them) Thank You.

Sounds like you may have been hit by adware/spyware/page hijackers and the like..run a check for those things..I was using the free version of 'Aluria's Spyware Scanner/Eliminator'..

I would also install Internet Explorer as an alternate browser..as Netscape Navigator is pretty limited in functionality..

Good luck.

Hi Ryan: hope you got your problem resolved. After reading my original
response to you..I would recommend using Webroot Spyware Sweeper from
CNET.com..
and have an alternate browser ESPECIALLY if you are relying on AOL..AOL has
only given me grief (with all its spam and security faults)..
Good luck.
