Netscape 7.1 & some others would not launch or reinstall!!!!

Hello,

O/S Win 2K Professional ==> Blue Screen "Stop Error"
Corrupt SYSTEMced

Repaired System w/ saved version in WINNT\system32\repair folder
Then Blue Screen Error ....... again - "System hive" and then "SOFTWARE"
Replaced all with saved or backed up version

Now Netscape refuses to launch, Uninstall claims "Uninstall log' can't
be found

Clean up Registry with Regcleaner, to no avail

Re installation at original folder, at the side of, different volume -
makes no difference on launching attempt. Hourglass cursor appears for
2-3 sec then disappears

Any suggestions welcomed

Saved version of what? How big was this "saved version?" What was this "saved version" called?" file extension?

Try C:\WINNT\NSUninst.exe /ua "7.0 (en)"

If the above fails delete the registry key below and you should be able to
reinstall Netscape. For you to getthe error about the log not found , you
must have deleted that file off the hard drive.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Netscape (7.0)

Delete any entries found in the key mentioned.

if this fails also:
C:\WINNT\NetscapeCCKUninstall.exe /ua "7.0"

Is it possible that your computer doesn't meet the system requirements?
You need Windows 98 or higher, a 233 MHz processor, 64MB of RAM, and at
least 52 MB of hard disk space free.
