Netscape 4.76 using WIN2K LDAP

I am using Netscape 4.76 as the mail client. I want to add a directory
service in the mail client using Active Directory LDAP. I can connect with
the MS Address Book without any problems but not with Netscape. I keep
getting the following error:

"Mail ID invalid or not unique, cannot resolve to directory authorization
entry"

I am using port 3268 to get away from the "search base" and I am
authenticating with my WIN2K username and password (domainname\username).

Has anyone have a fix for this?

I would recommend tracing the LDAP requests with netmon or some other sniffer to see what NETSCAPE is asking for and
then getting. That will nail it down to whether or not the issue us netscape or how AD is responding.
