netowrking a Mac to XP Home host w/Linksys, Airport

My client has cable modem directly connected to his
Presario running WXP Home Ed. His wife has a Mac with an
Airport card and they had been successfully sharing
internet connection via the Linksys router attached to
his machine. In the last month or so, she has had
inconsistent ability to reach the internet and for the
last 2-3 weeks, none at all. Her IT dept. at the school
she works confirms that her Airport card is functioning
properly so we assume the issue is with his machine's
configuration. He has installed all critial updates and
last week we installed SP2. Can anyone help me work
through the possible issues and direct me to where I
might find the right answers?

we need more information to help. can she ping a public ip? if yes, can she
ping yahoo.com? also posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help.
