NETLOGON Event ID: 5782 - No DNS Servers configured for local system.

Ryan

I have searched google and a bunch of message boards regarding this and none
of the solutions I have come across have worked thus far. I am still getting
an error in my system log:
Source: NETLOGON - Event ID: 5782
Dynamic registration or deregistraion of one or more DNS records failed with
the following error: No DNS servers configured for local system.

The local system is 192.168.0.7 and is an DNS server (also a RAS server and
I think that may be the problem from the ipconfig /all). It is pointed to it
self for DNS see below.

Can someone please stick with me on this and help me get this annoying error
out of my system log!
I would really appreciate any help on this!

Not sure if this will do the trick but you can turn off dynamic registration
in tcp/ip proprties, uncheck register this connections address in dns.
However, if this box is a memeber of an AD domain this would not be a good
idea.
