NetHood Folder

I have a "NetHood Folder" on my laptop that has several gigs of information
in it. It's the same information that's on my tower. Both are linked
together for networking. My question is this, what exactly is that folder
for? The laptop is out of disk space and I need to delete unneeded folders,
can I delete this one? Why is all of the information that is shared also on
the laptop hard drive?

Note: the tower also has the NetHood Folder with the same information in it.

The NetHood folder is a system folder that has shortcuts to data shared
over the network. You should not delete it. To reclaim space, uninstall
unneeded programs, do cleanup, backup data to cd/dvd-r and delete from
hard drive, etc. Here is a link that may help:
