Does anyone know if there is a command either from Windows or a DOS
window (Command prompt) that will reset the router?

I'm running WinXP Home on a Desktop and a wireless Laptop. I lost my
connectivity and had to run back and forth and finally just unplugged
the cable modem AND the router (Netgear) and that worked. Would be nice
to be able to do it from one or both of the PC's.

My Linksys router has a "DHCP Renew/Release" tab that will do this. Look for
a similar feature in your router access page.

Most home broadband routers have a built-in web server interface.
Connect to your router (probably at an address like
http://192.168.0.1), and look for a "reset" page or button.
