netgear router firewall problems

ever since I installed my netgear RP614 Router I can't
play online games. How do I fix this problem. Is it a
firewall problem?
 
Find out what ports need to be opened in order to play these games - by
default, the Netgear will block all inbound traffic (doesn't block anything
outbound). Be very careful when you open ports inbound....

Many of the routers will have automatic configuration for certain games in
the setup utility. Check you documentation that came with the router. That
will open all the right ports and leave the ports closed that you don't want
open.
