Netgear Router and HP Wireless network card don't see each other at all.

I have a netgear mr814 wireless router (runs B protocol). My desktop
is hardwired to it, runs fine. My IBM thinkpad uses a built in
wireless card and that too runs fine.

I got a new HP Laptop from work and I need to connect it to my home
network. It has a built in wireless card A/B/G protocol. It does not
see my network AT ALL. The router is broadcasting the SSID. We tried
WEP ON 64 bit, WEP on 128 bit, WEP off. We tried shared key, open key,
automatic. We tried forcing it to B protocol. I don't know what else
to try!!

HP states that the diagnostics indicate the card itself is fine. I
don't have an alternate network to try it on to verify this. However,a
co-worker had the exact same experience with his identical laptop
(couldn't get the card to talk to his router), so I am pretty sure its
a card issue. The question is, how do I fix it/work around it? I spent
5 HOURS on the phone with HP and got no where fast.
