I have a windows "xp home" machine on a small network with
a windows 2000 server and about 4 other pcs running '98,
xp and '95. It was networking fine with the LAN, until
just the other day when the local area network browsing
functions stopped, and event view reports that netBT
failed to load, thus Netbios over tcp/ip is not working.
We have an internet router and this xp machine is still
accessing the internet fine, but cannot browse the network.
All other pcs in the network have not changed, and DO have
netbios over tcp/ip implemented and the computer browser
service started, where applicable. No software firewalls
are implemented.
How can I get this XP machine back browsing the LAN?
What's wrong here? thanks.
