Net use issues

I'm having trouble with a Windows 2000 Pro. machine that
keeps dropping it's net use statements. I am using net
use to configure lpt printer ports for shared printers on
a basic workgroup. The printer configurations are being
used by a dos based program. I have created a batch file
the user can click on to re-connect the net use
statements if they drop but I would sure like to find out
why they intermittently disconnect and how to fix it. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

What command are you using to connect to the printers? Sounds like you might
need to add /persisten:yes to the end of your net use command.
