Hi

Have someone already tested with the .Net Translator component.
I downloaded the component from www.dotnettranslator.com to test and it

seems very easy to use.

My problem was that my customers always changes the text on the
website.
In the beginning I used resource files but this measn i had to
re-compile everytime my customer changes something.
So i was looking on the interent for a easy to use component (and
payable). So i found .Net Translator Component

I think i'm going to use it, but wanted to know more about it.
</the end>

I would do some perf tests, compiled resources are VERY fast, we wrote our
own, it only took a few hours to write, then about 1 hour todo perf tests
and speed it up, the fastest method we found was to write a class the
derived from a sortedlist and overrode the getter, the getter tried the
internal list first then if not found it used a database and stored the
value in the internal list.

using a profile tool, it gets called 100000's of time but was VERY quick.

At first we used a HASHTABLE moving to a sorted list speeding things up,
overriding the getter made it even quicker.

Hi

But i don't want to work with compiled resources becuase the customer
changes the information to often.

And with this component you have only 1 connection to the database to
have all labels at once for only the selected page;
This means less connections, less data transfer;

But thanks anyhow for you opinion !
