Net Passport associated user account

Hi,

When my son signed up for his passport he associated it with our one and only user account. When signing in with a Net passport for the first time...on the screen where you type your e-mail address and password...there is a check box that you need to UNcheck. It asks if you want to associate your passport with the user account.

Anyway, I'm removed him from the stored names and passwords which didn't solve the problem. Here's the issue: anytime I start messenger it automatically signs him in and his friends usually start sending messages before I can sign him out and sign myself in. I know I could fix it by associating MY passport with the account, but then it would inconvenience him. Ideally I would like to just remove his association so that we both have to manually sign in.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Greetings Michael,

To remove this, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User
Accounts in the Control Panel. Select the Windows XP account name you're currently logged
under, and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net* (Passport) entry and click
'Remove'.

Hey Jonathan, long time!

Interesting reading about a uPnP port restricted NAT vs. a non uPnP port
restricted NAT in my case I have 4 gateways to the Internet and on two of
them I have a couple of MS routers...

The MN-100 comes up as non uPnP and the MN-500 wireless says it's uPnP.

They both have the same firmware. <VBG>

Needless to say, post SP2 Remote Assistance is broken between these two
systems; both SBS2k3 with XP Pro etc cleints back off them.

Guess I'm scratching my head wondering why one is non and the other router
is a uPnP.

Any ideas? Firmware or the ISP or ?

TIA.

So... now here's something interesting...

If I'm on the SBS2k3 box on each gateway, both routers are uPnP.

Now XP SP2 doesn't quite see things that way.

And if you have VS Guest XP boxes they seem to be directly connected.

Before SP2 this stuff all just worked...

Are we waiting on another service pack again?

Thoughts?
