Net Meeting help please! I am using Windows XP and have
always been able to us Net Metting with no problem. I
recently download Windows Update and now I can get the
vidoe portion of net meeting to work but not the audio.
I have tested the speakers and mic and all is working
fine. Has anyone reader had this problem, and if so what
resolved it?

Thanks
Joan

Joan, I've run into this.
This is what worked for me ... but may not be a universal fix.

In netmeeting, when you are "not" connected with someone, click tools, then
audio tuning wizard (second on the list).

Make sure your recording and playback have the correct device selected.
You'll need to determine what your souce of sound is ... it could be a
headset mic, a separate mic or the mic on the video camera.

You'll eventually come to screens to test your recording level and your
volume levels. When you are confident this is working, try it again.

Also, on the main screen, there are three icons under the receiving video
screen. The right-most icon allows you to set your mic and volume levels.
You can try adjusting these settings. Note also, that the probably may not
necessarily be at your end.

As an after thought, make sure that all the plugs for any speakers,
headsets, etc. are actually plugged in. There are gremlins everywhere.
Good luck. Diana
