NO, the software that she installs *may* need them all, but *Kelly*
certainly doesn't. .NET Frameworks prior to 2 are *not* dependent upon
each other. Starting with .NET Framework 2.0, all *subsequent* runtimes
are dependent.
Having the .NET 2.0 Framework installed does NOT mean that subsequent
runtimes *need* to be installed, but if .NET 3.0 is installed, then .NET
3.5 *must* be installed.
@kelly ... what programs or software prompted you to or installed the
..NET Frameworks when they were installed ?
IF you only have programs or software that require .NET 1.0 or .NET 1.1
in order to run, then you can safely uninstall .NET 3.0 SP2 and .NET 3.5
SP1. However, if .NET 2.0 SP2 was installed with the .NET Family Update,
KB959209, which also installed .NET 3.0 SP2 and .NET 3.5 SP1, then you
can uninstall KB959209 in order to uninstall them all at once.
Then download, save, and install .NET 2.0 SP2, IF the .NET 2.0 Framework
is installed :
..NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...58-915b-4eb5-9b1d-10e506da9d0f&displaylang=en
Then download, save, and install the update for .NET 2.0 SP2 from the
bottom of this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=6c095bba-6100-4ec9-9c54-6450b0212565
Click the Download button next to NDP20SP2-KB958481-x86.exe
You'll then have .NET Framework 2.0 updated to SP2, the application
compatibility update for it, KB958481, and no UNneeded or UNwanted .NET
runtimes installed.
