I have just installed a 3rd party program that required me to also install
MS .NET Framework 2. Now I find that each time I boot up my PC it is asking
me to logon, even though I am the only user of my PC. Is there any way to
get Windows (XP Pro) to boot up without asking me to login as it did before
I installed Framework?

Mike.

The Welcome to Windows screen appears when you start
Windows XP after you install the .NET Framework

I don't believe that Carey's works with .NET framework 2.0 so..

Go here and scroll down til you see tweakui.exe on the right and download it.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Then install it and go to start > all programs > power toys for windows xp >
Tweak UI to open it.

Click the plus next to Logon, click Autologon, click the checkmark box, and
enter your credentials.

Good Luck
