.NET Framework 1.1 SP1

Now that SP1 has been introduced for .NET Framework 1.1, is there an upgrade
for Windows XPEmbedded to incorporate this service pack? I am having some
compatability issues between the two versions.

Hi Chunk,

Do not see connection between these version, but if you want .NET Framework 1.1
You can download .NET FW 1.1 QFE, and install it. It is available for some time now.
Or you can download and install XPe SP2 Technical Preview.

Best regards,

My mistake in interpreting the question. Probably because I did not know that .NetFW SP1 was released :(

Thanks for info,

Any update on .NET Framework SP1 for XPe?

I have the XPe SP2, but the Framework SP1 is not in there as a
component.

Desi,

It is there on SP2 but not in database.

Look into the SP2 install package under "valueadd\msft\prerelease\netfx1.1sp1" directory and you will find the component which is
ready to be used.

KM,

Do you know if the netfx1.1sp1 is a beta or is it the full deal? Any
ideas on why they did this as a value added option instead of
automatically putting it into the component database when we upgraded
to SP2? Here I was thinking I was running the latest and greatest from
MS only to find out differently.

Dwayne,

You can call the component version as beta since it was not included in the XPe SP2 database.
The component itself structured properly so I wouldn't expect [many] issues with it.
The .Net 1.1 SP1 binaries used were RTMed on XP.

I don't know the actual reason but I may guess that they did not have the component componentized before the XPe SP2 final test pass
started. Since the component did not go through the test pass, it is not RTM'ed and not included in the database.
