Hi

I have been developing with .NET 1.x and 2.0 for the last five and a half
years.

I now want to learn about .NET 3.0 and 3.5, BUT to get me started I am
looking for a book that does not go into tonnes of details. In other words, I
want to find out about .NET 3.x, understand what's changed and then go and
buy the more specialised books.

Is there such a book?

Thanks

None that I know of. All of the books I know have specialized into one of
the foundations: Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Windows Communication
Foundation (WCF) or Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).

As for sites, the site netfx3.com has a lot of tutorials and other
information. For a general overview, I would look at the .NET Framework
developers site at msdn.microsoft.com.

Hi Gregory

Thanks for your reply. Let's hope someone (e.g. David Chapell) writes such a
book.
