.NET 3.0 is missing

I installled Vista Beta2 and verified that .NET 3.0 is not present. Attempts
to download .NET 3.0 and subsequently install it were disastrous and failed.
I restored my OS successfully and went to verify that .NET was there and it
was not .NET 3.0. Can anyone help?
