Nero Burning Problems

When I try to use nero burning rom it always stops responding and will not close.
I keep getting another application is using this IMAPI.
Does anybody know what is causing this

Disable your 49 backgound apps before usine nero.

Try disabling the 'IMAPI CD-burning COM' service (or at least stopping it)
and then give it another whirl

Check in My Computer, right click the drive, Properties and on the
Recording page ensure that 'Enable Recording' is *not* checked. That
enables the inbuilt stuff (it does not directly control Nero) and the
two may fight
