Nero 8 - unknown burnphase

If this shows up twice, sorry, I get message saying not posted.

A few weeks back I dl the lastest update to Nero 8. Since then, despite 6
nero clean uninstalls and ewvery version from 7 to current, all I get when
burning a DVD or CD, is 'unknown burnphase.

Nero aren't being much help either. There's also some problem with the CD's
most of them come up with message saying empty disk or disk not read, but
others are ok.

TIA

Have you tried updating your motherboard IDE controller drivers (SATA
Controller if you are using a SATA DVD burner)?

Hi

I have all the latest update for the MB. As far as I can make out, it only
started to happen after I updated Nero and the dl service pack 1 for vista.

I've tried googling for it and there are quite a lot of posts in NG's for
'unkniwn burnphase', but not for V8 or vista.

Is anyone else having or has had the same problem?

TIA
