Nero 7.x hogs system

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone else is having the following problem:
Doing a disc copy with Nero, my system becomes completely bogged down. But
when I copy the contents of disc to the HDD, it barely affects my system at
all.

I was copying a DVDR (4.5gb worth) with nero and the system was completely
unusable, I just finished copying the contents of that DVDR in no time flat
and without any slow downs at all. Now I did try to open up taskman to make
nero a low priority, but it just ended up crashing my system and actually
rebooting it... I was not impressed as my system has been very stable until
I ran nero in this manner. Now when I burn an image or files using nero,
there is no problem. Could this be an ASPI issue?

Here is what I'm running:
Pentinum D 830 (x2 core, 3Ghz)
ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium
2GB of RAM
x3 SATAII 320GB (RAID5)
x1 SATA 320GB (Stand-alone)
x1 DVDRAM
x1 GF6800GT
650w PSU

Are you using version 7.7.5?
If not, I suggest doing an immediate update. No time to waste!
Also, make sure you have DMA enabled for your CD/DVD units.

Hey, sorry took me so long to reply to this. Yup, using 7.7.5.1 on a brand
new build of vista x64. I didn't it install it right away and my system was
rock solid until I installed it ... now when I'm burning, or its just
sitting in the background the system will hang... is there build in software
in Vista that will burn VOB files, have I missed it some how?? I'd rather
use something that's built in and stable than having Nero crash my system...
