Needing help

I've just installed the windows xo sp2 and Windows Defender Version:
1.1.1592.0.
And I need to know how to set a file-sharing program to be permitted to run,
without giving me alerts everytime I open the application.

Try Tools->Options, then scroll down to Advanced Options and where it says
"do not scan these files or locations" click the add button and then add the
path (file location) that WD is showing. Click Save. That should stop the
messages.
