Need WINS with Active Directory

If we have all PCs and servers running Windows 2000 or
greater, do we even need WINS installed?

Would it be beneficial to have WINS rather than DNS
servers all over?

Win 2k or XP clients on a Win 2k or W 2k3 domain will use DNS for name
resolution. If you have no pre Win 2k clients there is no need to run WINS.
