need to reinstall System Restore and Add/Remove programs but no di

I need to reinstall these two programs as neither is working. But my computer
came with XP already installed on it so I don't have a disk. Can anyone else
tell me how to do this?
 
New computers which are not supplied with a system disc have the XP operating
system on the hard disc mostly in a hidden partition.

To reinstall a windows program you should be able to do it from the add
remove link on control panel.

Select the windows component tab, untick the offending program and click next.

Then reselect windows components tick the box and reapply. This should
reinstall the program.
