need to redirect USB printer to LPT1: or LPT2: or LPT3: for old DOS app

Problem - HP6540 lacks parallel port. DOS emulation
inside WIN2k does not allow for port redirection as older
windows 9 did. The application is a Clipper compiled app
about 5 years old. Like DOS commands in the DOS emulation
window, the old Clipper app can not use the USB002 port
for output. Is there a utility that can redirect output
sent to LPT2: to the USB002 port the printer must use???

Dear Mr. Richard Ainsley,
Is there a utility that can redirect output
sent to LPT2: to the USB002 port the printer must use???

We have a product which allows this (and much more) to any character based
application.
To use it in Clipper you could simply start your jobs with:

SET DEVICE TO PRINT
SET CONSOLE OFF
SET PRINTER ON
SET PRINTER TO ("File.txt")
....
.... Your normal statements
....
SET PRINTER OFF
SET CONSOLE ON
SET DEVICE TO SCREEN
SET PRINTER TO

or you can use its internal redirection ability.
More info and a free trial is available for download at our web site.

Kind regards,
Davide Guolo
