Need to put XP on other drive (from RAID0 drives to single drive)

I have just received my new Dell XPS with three hard drives and have found
that XP and the programs were installed on the two RAID0 drives and not on
the 80GB drive (my fault...I should have found a way to specify this to
Dell). I need the RAID0 drives to be the data drives and the 80GB drive to
be the programs drive. I have never uninstalled nor re-installed Windows
before and need complete instructions on this. Is there a way to copy
everything (Windows and programs) from the RAID0 drives straight over to the
80GB drive, and then erase the RAID0 drives? Or will this require a complete
formatting and reinstallation of XP, drivers and programs? Will I have to
erase the RAID0 drives first, and unplug them before loading XP onto the 80GB
drive? Thank you!

Probably not, because of the drive letter assignment. The Windows
registry etc will be build using drive letter assigned to your RAID0
drives.

Here is something that might repeat might work.

1. Use a disk copying program to copy everything from the RAID0
drives to the 80gb drive.

2. Disconnect the power and data cables to the RAID0 drives so they
are no longer recognized by the system.

3. Boot your computer with the Windows XP CD from Dell and do a
Repair Install as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Once Windows XP is functioning properly on the 80 gb drive you should
be able to reconnect the RAID0 drives again and delete their contents
so they can be used for whatever you want.

Good luck
