I have a customer who's software program prints via a
Server module. I need to lock the session number for the
printer on a per user basis so that that local printer
maps back to a session number which is static.

Alternatively anyone who can tell me why if I map a
printer via VPN connection why printing through this
method is extremely slow (ie, 6 minutes to print the test
page to a HP6P through a 512/128 ADSL connection). Same
printer printing through terminal is infinately quicker.

Have a look at the
Windows 2000 Terminal Services Printer Redirection White Paper

ticles/W2kTSprn.asp

There's a chapter about Performance and Scalability, which
explains what bandwidth does for the printing time for different
types of documents. Contains also some tips for speeding up
printing over low-bandwidth connections.
