need to format a former systems disk

Trying to make a long story short... I have a 80 gb drive
with 3 partitions. Installed xp home on a 10gb partition
(C). Possibly got a virus and decided that 10 gb was too
small enyway. Installed xp home on a 20 gb partion. PC is
running well but I cant get pc to realize that d is now
the system disk. It won't let me format c to clear it of
xp. Any ideas?

Ron, go to Windows Explorer>Folder Options>View>click on Show Hidden Files
and Folders and uncheck Hide protected Operating System Files. Look for a
file called boot.ini, that maybe in the C:\ or D:\. If it's in C then you
can't
format, but you can delete mostly everything. Five files you need the rest
can be deleted.
Ntldr, Boot.ini, Bootsect.dos, Ntdetect.com and cmldr.
