Need to design a 'directory' website. Help!

I would like to design a a directory, where people could post there details
and others could consult the information. How do I do that?
I'm designing the forms, but I don't know how people could retrieve the
information once the list is piled up. Please help.

You will need to locate a pre-written (or custom write) directory application that meets your needs
and is supported by your web host (server side script language and database) .

Or you can save the submitted form results to an Access database and
then use the Database Reults Wizard to make some queries that accept
the users input to bring up the relevant information from the
database.

Requires a webhost that suppors Active Server Pages, Access, and has
the Front Page Extensions.
