I was using my main computer, running Windows XP, to
install an OEM Windows Home on a second hard drive for a
new computer I am going to build.
It failed miserably. But no problems there. The drive was
bad, so I removed it and sent it back.
The problem is that now when ever I boot up my computer
it asks me if I want to enter Windows XP (the OS for this
machine), Windows Home (what I was trying to install on
the second hard drive that no longer exists) or Windows
Set Up.
I don't mind these options being there so much, but it
defaults to set up which is a pain.
How can I delete the XP Home and Set Up options from the
boot sequence?
If I can't delete them how can I at least change the
default to Windows XP, the c: drive OS for this machine?
Note: I tried entering the Set Up boot to see if there
was a way to delete these from there, but it said it
couldn't boot because of missing files.
I just want my computer to boot like it normally did
before this failed experiment. I'm green at this this so
be gentle.
Thank you.
